From A Returned Dog At The Shelter, To A Furever Family

Imagine the happiness of a dog that is about to be adopted. We’re nowhere close to figure out how happy these dogs are. After all, they’re getting a brand new start and an escape ticket from a place they never wish to end up anymore.

Wall-E was ectatic the first time he got adopted. Finally, a furever family!

But, the happiness didn’t last for long. A Short while after his 2015 adoption, Wall-E was back where everything started, at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC).

The Labrador mix returned to the shelter with everything he had: his bed, his toys, and a broken heart.

But, Wall-E wasn’t the only one with a broken heart. The shelter said the family was devastated, but had to turn him in, for his own good.

“This guy deserves a forever family who won’t give up on him ❤️ Please don’t bash his previous owners, though. We don’t know the whole story. What we do know is the owner was heartbroken and crying. It was hard to finally help them leave. The staff was crying with the owners. We don’t believe this decision was taken lightly”, said the Maricopa shelter on Facebook.

Confused and not knowing what he did wrong, Wall-E was left at the shelter questioning everything. One poor dog’s heart was broken into pieces.

The manager of the shelter stated:

“He was surrendered by his family because they did not have enough time for him. He was very scared. In his kennel, he would bark and bark.”

It did not take long for the shelter to post Wall-E up for an adoption. He was needing a new home, a place where his wounds would be mended and his heart recovered.

A photo went viral within seconds.

“Here is Wall-E when he was getting surrendered by his owner 😞. They brought all his stuff… like it was gonna be there with him 2 months later in his kennel 😞.”, the shelter stated.

Fortunately, Wall-E, he was one really good boi. Being trained and friendly around everyone, Wall-E had great chances of finding a new home fast. He was the ultimate family dog for a white-picket-fenced home and loving family.

The furever family that offered Wall-E a helping paw was Lynn Lee’s. Needless to say that the two-month search ended within seconds. Wall-E swept her off her feet and made her forever addicted to his charm. He even liked her other dog!

It was obvious that Wall-E needed to go home with her.
